*General Appreciation of Research and Technology (also a nickname of our original president)
This morning at 8am, kick-off began with the video animation of the new game. The team along with the help of Andy Weddle went through the rule book and held planning sessions for the designs of the future robot. This season, the competition is named Steamworks because it "invites two adventure clubs from an era in which technology relied on steam power to prepare their airships for the ultimate long distance race." We have raised $5,000 dollars. That funds one competition. Special thanks to Argosy, Lockheed, and DoD STEM for their large contributions.
We raised $144 dollars at our garage sale on 9/10/16. We like to thank everyone who donated things for us to sell. We are having another one on 9/24/16.
At the 2016 Antelope Valley EdTech Summit, the Radical Robotics team demonstrated how our robots are operated to others while getting the word out about robotics at Quartz Hill High!
Everyone had a wonderful time talking to people that wandered by our booth. Many of the people that came by were very interested in robotics. The team stayed engaging to others with their demonstrations of the robot. Alongside those attending, the team had an enjoyable time. In the end, it was a pretty successful day!
Our team traveled to Las Vegas, NV March 31st to April 2nd for the FIRST Robotics Stronghold competition and did amazing! We reached out to many other teams and learned so much. Meeting new people from around the world and competing with all of the teams was a great experience especially as a rookie team. While there, we won the Highest Rookie Seed award which was an incredible honor to be the highest ranked rookie team. Thank you to all of our supporters and those who helped us in getting to Nevada!
